Sutura urbana como factor de recuperación patrimonial y social

Abstract

Este artículo presenta el proyecto de reestructuración urbana y formulación del Centro Cultural de Bocachica como factor de sutura entre los elementos patrimoniales, sociales y naturales del lugar. El proyecto, ubicado en el corregimiento de Bocachica en la Isla de Tierra Bomba, busca enaltecer y potencializar el lugar, el cual posee un alto valor patrimonial debido a su legado histórico y cultural. El corregimiento, que cuenta con patrimonio de tipo material, inmaterial y natural, hoy en día se encuentra afectado, amenazado y olvidado, por la carencia de cohesión y adecuada estructuración urbana.

A raíz de esto, el objetivo principal en el artículo es presentar la proyección y el diseño reformativo de la zona patrimonial de Bocachica, a partir de un centro cultural de integración que suture el espacio urbano. Esto, mediante el análisis del lugar, partiendo desde el patrimonio y las dinámicas de los habitantes, así como la definición conceptual de sutura, vacío y patrimonio; y su relación y aplicación como respuesta a las problemáticas urbanas. De igual modo, se realiza el análisis de casos de estudio para adoptar conceptos en el proyecto a plantear, delimitando así, las estrategias urbanas y arquitectónicas que den desarrollo al esquema básico del proyecto. Finalmente, se da explicación de las operaciones arquitectónicas, definición del programa e imagen del proyecto, que delimitan así el objeto arquitectónico comprendido como Centro Cultural a partir de los elementos conceptuales de sutura y vacío.

This article is about the urban restructuring and the development of the Bocachica’s Cultural Center, as a suture factor between the heritage, social and natural elements of the place. The project, which is located in the town of Bocachica, on Tierra Bomba’s Island, wants to exalt and potentialize the place, which has a high heritage value due to its historical and cultural legacy. Bocahica’s town, which has physical, intangible and natural heritage, is now affected, threatened and forgotten, by the lack of cohesion and adequate urban structuring. Therefore, the main objective in the article is to show the proposal and design of the heritage area of Bocachica, as from a cultural center of integration that sutures the urban space. This, through the analysis of the place, starting from the heritage and dynamics of the habitants, as well as the conceptual definition of suture, void and patrimony; and their relationship and application in response to urban problems. Likewise, case studies analysis is carried out to adopt concepts in the project to be proposed, thus delimiting the urban and architectural strategies that give development to the basic scheme of the project. Finally, it is given explanation of the architectural operations, definition of the program and image of the project, which thus delimit the architectural object understood as Cultural Center from the conceptual elements of suture and void.
