Revitalización urbano-arquitectónica para la estación del tren en Bosconia-Cesar

Abstract

El trabajo de grado consiste en la propuesta urbana y arquitectónica del centro histórico en Bosconia, Cesar, ubicado en el norte de Colombia. El municipio de Bosconia, constituido como uno de los referentes más importantes de la historia del ferrocarril en Colombia, su interesante mestizaje, y su abundante cultura, quedo consignado en los anaqueles del olvido. Esto, como resultado de una segregación, no solo urbana sino “identitaria”, alimentado por el paso del tren del carbón. En ese sentido, el tren provoco una barrera invisible, que al paso del tiempo ha sometido al municipio al deterioro del espacio público, una memoria colectiva fragmentada y al abandono de los hitos históricos-arquitectónicos. Como consecuencia de esto hay una desconexión cultural entre la ciudad nueva y la ciudad vieja, la contaminación del aire y acústica. Ahora bien, teniendo en cuenta lo anterior, este trabajo propone un mejoramiento urbano y arquitectónico para la estación del tren y su contexto inmediato, a partir de los postulados de la Humanización del Espacio Urbano y el Urbanismo Ecológico. De igual forma, estas intervenciones buscan devolverle al sector el papel preponderante en la región, a través de un planteamiento patrimonial de los hitos arquitectónicos, elaborado por medio de un levantamiento histórico, y una intervención urbana que se adapte a las marcadas dinámicas sociales del territorio, que mitigara el fenómeno de segregación urbana que se evidencia por parte del municipio hacia este sector.

This document consist of the urban and architectural reviralization of the historic center in Bosconia, Cesar, located in northern Colombia. Constituted as one of the most important landmarks in the history of the railway in Colombia, its interesting mixed-breeding, and its abundant culture, the municipaly was recordedin the shelves of oblivion. This, the result of segregation, not only urban but “identity”, fueled by the passage of the coal train. In this sense, the trai cause dan invisible barrier, which over time has subdued the municipalilty, to the deterioration of public space, a fragmented collective memory and the abandonment of historical-architectural landmarks. As a result there is a cultural disconnect between the new city and the old city, air pollution and acoustics. However, taking into account the above, this research proposes an urban and architectural imporvement for the train station and its immediate context, from the postulates of the Humanization of Urban Spaces and Ecological Urbanism. Similary, these interventions seek to give the sector a leading role in the region, through a heritage approach to architectural landmarks, developed through a historical uprising, and an urban intervention that adapts to marked social dynamicso the territory, that would mitigate the phenomenon of urban segregation that is evident by the municipality towards this sector.
