Diseño de colegio: Arquitectura y espacio público

Abstract

Este trabajo trata sobre la sinergia entre arquitectura y espacio público en los equipamientos educativos, y como estos inciden positivamente en el desarrollo del aprendizaje, motivación y bienestar de la población estudiantil. Esto debido a una problemática cuya solución se quiere contribuir, se relaciona a la dificultad para componer actualmente un colegio cuya relación entre arquitectura y espacio público potencie / fomente el aprendizaje y bienestar de los estudiantes. Esto debido a que como menciona el arquitecto Frank Locker en su visita en el 2014 a los colegios de Bogotá, comento al periódico el Tiempo que “el modelo de infraestructura predominante en los colegios responde a la misma lógica de infraestructura carcelaria, ya que consisten en largos pasillos llenos de salones a puerta cerrada y su espacio público se caracteriza por que no hay zonas verdes o naturales debido a que la mayoría de estos colegios funcionan alrededor de un patio en concreto”. Teniendo en cuenta lo anterior se ha planteado el siguiente objetivo, Diseñar un equipamiento educativo cuya relación entre arquitectura y espacio público fomente el aprendizaje y el bienestar de los estudiantes. Para ello fue necesario aplicar estrategias de diseño, a partir del análisis de distintos referentes, con el fin de hacer del proyecto un espacio el cual fomente el aprendizaje y bienestar de los estudiantes.

This work deals with the synergy between architecture and public space in educational facilities, and how these positively affect the development of learning, motivation and well-being of the student population. This, due to a problem whose solution we want to contribute, is related to the difficulty of currently composing a school whose relationship between architecture and public space enhances / encourages the learning and well-being of students. This is because, as the architect Frank Locker mentions in his visit to Bogotá schools in 2014, he commented to the newspaper El Tiempo that the predominant infrastructure model in schools responds to the same logic of prison infrastructure, since they consist of long corridors full of closed-door classrooms and their public space is characterized by the absence of green or natural areas because most of these schools operate around a specific courtyard. Taking into account the above, the following objective has been set: Design an educational facility whose relationship between architecture and public space encourages learning and the well-being of students. For this, it was necessary to apply design strategies, based on the analysis of different references, in order to make the project a space which encourages the learning and well-being of the students.
