Diseño de una planta de tratamiento de agua potable en el municipio de Ro Sucio - Chocó

Abstract

Rio Sucio, un municipio colombiano localizado en el departamento del Chocó presenta problemas para brindar el servicio de agua potable a sus residentes debido a que carece de una infraestructura hidráulica en su cabecera municipal especializada para su tratamiento, situación que los obliga a consumir regularmente agua de mala calidad ocasionando así una afectación a su salud y como un problema que merece atención, el presente documento plantea el diseño funcional de una planta de tratamiento de agua potable (PTAP) en este lugar cuya finalidad sería el tratamiento del agua que los habitantes usan para su consumo con el objetivo de potabilizarla y brindarla a la comunidad generando así una mejora a su calidad de vida.

Rio Sucio, a Colombian municipality located in the department of Chocó, presents problems in providing drinking water service to its residents due to the lack of a specialized hydraulic infrastructure for its treatment, a situation that forces them to regularly consume poor quality water, thus causing an effect on their health and as a problem that deserves attention, this document raises the functional design of a drinking water treatment plant (PTAP) in this place whose purpose would be to treat the water that the inhabitants use for their consumption with the objective of making it drinkable and providing it to the community, thus generating an improvement in their quality of life.
