Mesa 5: Cementerio Central

Abstract

The cemetery stands out for being one of the most emblematic places in the history of Colombia, for the architectural and cultural wealth, thanks to this it is declared a national heritage. Currently the central cemetery of Bogotá is in a state of deterioration, affecting its aesthetics and conservation, generating insecurity and vandalism in the sector, another factor that influences the current status of the cemetery in the city of the certainty relationship that exists, propitiating the oblivion, ignorance and disinterest that society presents. Its objective is to generate an interdisciplinary proposal that contributes to highlighting the historical and cultural memory of the Central Cemetery.
