Proyecto de revitalización del mercado local por medio de la arquitectura multifuncional

Abstract

El proyecto consiste en el desarrollo de un modelo arquitectónico para revitalizar la huella comercial del antiguo mercado local en el barrio San Isidro dentro de la ciudad de Villavicencio, capital del departamento del Meta en Colombia. El cual a partir del Decreto N° 381 del 2003 fue cerrado y relocalizado en la nueva central de abasto (Llanabastos) a cargo de la empresa Cemerca S.A construida a las afueras de la ciudad, actualmente la actividad comercial de este mercado persiste, funcionando bajo condiciones no optimas que generan una serie de problemas en el sector como: invasiones al espacio público, contaminación ambiental y una gran cantidad de puestos informales generando una actividad desordenada. Como punto de partida de este proyecto se tiene en cuanta las condiciones actuales del sector, de los comerciantes y del ¿Por qué hoy en día sigue funcionando un “mercado” que fue cerrado hace más de 15 años y sin ninguna infraestructura construida? para así poder llegar a plantear las bases del proyecto y su concepto multifuncional. Este modelo arquitectónico tiene como fin brindar por medio de sus múltiples usos un espacio de encuentro y actividad comercial que potencialice el sector actual del antiguo mercado, volviéndolo un punto de interés turístico y un catalizador urbano, concentrando en un mismo edificio puestos comerciales, viviendas, centros educativos, espacios de ocio y una zona parqueaderos, donde los usuarios que visiten o habiten el proyecto tengan la oportunidad de vivir una experiencia de mercado al nivel de referentes mundiales como lo son el markthal rotterdam en Holanda o el Place marcketfront en Seattle.

The project consists of the development of an architectural model to revitalize the commercial footprint of the old local market in the San Isidro neighborhood within the city of Villavicencio, capital of the Meta department in Colombia. Which from Decree No 381 of 2003 was closed and relocated to the new supply plant (Llanabastos) run by the company Cemerca S.A built on the outskirts of the city, currently the commercial activity of this market persists, operating under conditions not optimal that generate a series of problems in the sector such as: invasions of public space, environmental pollution and a large number of informal jobs generating a disorderly activity. ¿As a starting point of this project we take into account the current conditions of the sector, of the merchants and of the Why today continues to operate a “market” that was closed more than 15 years ago and without any built infrastructure? in order to be able to propose the bases of the project and its multifunctional concept. This architectural model aims to provide through its multiple uses a meeting space and commercial activity that enhances the current sector of the old market, making it a point of tourist interest and an urban catalyst, concentrating in the same building commercial posts, housing, educational centres, leisure spaces and a parking area, where users visiting or living on the project have the opportunity to live a market experience at the level of world leaders such as the markthal rotterdam in the Netherlands or the Place marcketfront in Seattle.
