Plan de revitalización de la plaza de mercado de Paloquemao como elemento de articulación cultural y arquitectónico en la ciudad de Bogotá

Abstract

Las plazas de mercado son un centro de memoria e identidad cultural, social y económica, estos recintos tienen un amplio contexto histórico lo cual enriquece el lugar como un espacio de reunión entre lo urbano y lo rural; cabe destacar la importancia patrimonial de estos elementos arquitectónicos, que reúnen características de un patrimonio material e inmaterial; la técnica, la herencia, las costumbres y la tradición de un mercado, es lo que le da sentido como pieza arquitectónica y urbana ; no solo se habla del edificio y su función, sino como este se convierte en un elemento simbólico y articulador entre el pasado el presente y el futuro de la ciudad; por esta razón el proyecto de grado tiene como tema principal la revitalización de la plaza de Paloquemao ubicada en la ciudad de Bogotá

The market squares are a center of memory and cultural, social and economic identity, these venues have a wide historic context which enriches the place as a meeting space between urban and rural; it is possible to emphasize the patrimonial importance of these architectural elements, that reunite characteristics of a material and inmaterial heritage; the technique, inheritance, customs and tradition of a market is what gives it meaning as an architectural and urban piece; not only is the building and its function spoken of, but how it becomes a symbolic and articulating element between the past, the present and the future of the city; For this reason, the degree project has as its main theme the revitalization of the Plaza de Paloquemao located in the city of Bogotá
