La técnica como experiencia significativa : ampliación del Museo Nacional de Colombia

Abstract

Este proyecto presenta la técnica como el medio capaz de crear una experiencia significativa y construcción de lugar, a partir de la conjugación de diferentes factores que hacen posible cargar de significado la composición y reflexionar sobre las diferentes formas en que el arquitecto lleva su profesión.

Sin embargo, con el tiempo dos posturas arquitectónicas se han hecho evidentes: La primera se presenta como una arquitectura de lugar que responde a condiciones climáticas y topográficas específicas de cada sitio; la segunda representa la innovación, la exploración de nuevas formas y materialidades dejando de lado el sitio y evidenciando la desarticulación de la relación entre técnica y la composición en la arquitectura para la construcción de lugar.

De lo anterior, el proyecto tiene como objetivo diseñar un ejemplo arquitectónico que evidencie como la técnica en relación con la composición es capaz de crear una experiencia significativa.

La investigación se desarrolla desde un análisis de proyectos que logran revelar el paisaje, a través de un proceso fenomenológico semejante a la metodología de Klaske Havik, sobre el cual se despliega un proyecto arquitectónico, específicamente la ampliación del museo Nacional de Colombia, obra que presenta una carga en la memoria y construcción de la ciudad.

Finalmente, el proyecto hace presencia de la técnica en la composición a partir de la reinterpretación del museo nacional actual y del entendimiento de cuatro factores: el reconocimiento del sitio en pro de transformarlo en lugar, la naturaleza del material, la captación de los sentidos y la actividad como rito; los cuales repercuten en la forma y espacio y permiten crear lugar y construir ciudad.

This project presents the technique as the capable way of creating a significant experience and construction of a place, based on the combination of different factors that make it possible to load the composition with meaning and reflect on the different ways in which the architect leads his profession. However, over time two architectural positions have become evident: The first is presented as a place architecture that responds to specific climatic and topographic conditions of each site; the second represents innovation, the exploration of new forms and materialities, leaving aside the site and showing the disarticulation of the relationship between technique and composition in architecture for the construction of a place. From the above, the project aims to design an architectural example that demonstrates how the technique in relation to the composition is capable of creating a meaningful experience. The research is developed from an analysis of projects that reveal the landscape, through a phenomenological process similar to the methodology of Klaske Havik, which an architectural project is deployed, specifically the expansion of the National Museum of Colombia, a work that presents a burden on the memory and construction of the city. Finally, the project makes presence of the technique in the composition from the reinterpretation of the current national museum and the understanding of four factors: the recognition of the site in order to transform it into place, the nature of the material, the capture of the senses and activity as a rite; which impact on the shape and space, and allow to create place and build city.
