Evocando el Genius Loci en un contexto foráneo. Proyecto de la Embajada de la República Checa en Etiopía

Abstract

“Hacer más humana la arquitectura significa hacer mejor arquitectura y conseguir un funcionalismo mucho más amplio que el puramente técnico.” Alvar Aalto La presente investigación tiene como objetivo abordar dos temas de gran importancia en la arquitectura, la eficiencia y la experiencia; el interés por desarrollar estos temas a lo largo del proyecto de grado surge a partir de la participación en la convocatoria postulada por el Ministerio de relaciones exteriores de la República Checa y la Czech Technic University in Prague (CTU). La experiencia puede ser descrita como aquel conjunto de reacciones, las cuales generan sensaciones no tangibles, aquellas que tienen un ámbito sensorial en el ser humano. El desarrollo de este se dará a partir de las posturas planteadas por tres autores, Alvar Aalto, Peter Zumthor y Christian Norberg-Schulz, donde cada uno aporta al desarrollo de la investigación; se profundiza ampliamente en uno de los puntos expuestos en el reglamento del concurso, el cual hace énfasis en resaltar el “Genius loci” en el complejo diplomático. A partir de las consideraciones expuestas por los autores, se busca desarrollar una proyecto integral, la cual desarrolle una arquitectura humana y aptamente funcional para el usuario final; en este caso de la embajada, reinterpretando el país de origen en un contexto totalmente ajeno. Por otra parte, la eficiencia se abordará a partir del confort climático y la sostenibilidad, planteando operaciones a partir de análisis bioclimáticos, donde se realizarán simulaciones a través de programas especializados con la finalidad de analizar el diseño propuesto.

The development of this will be based on the positions proposed by three authors, Alvar Aalto, Peter Zumthor and Christian Norberg-Schulz, where each one contributes to the development of the research; one of the points set out in the contest regulations, which emphasizes the “Genius loci” in the diplomatic complex, is deeply explored.. Based on the considerations set forth by the authors, the aim is to develop an integral project, which develops a human architecture that is aptly functional for the end user; in this case of the embassy, reinterpreting the country of origin in a totally foreign context. On the other hand, efficiency will be addressed based on climate comfort and sustainability, proposing operations based on bioclimatic analyzes, where simulations will be carried out through specialized programs in order to analyze the proposed design
