Abstract

La siguiente investigación parte de plantear cómo el hecho arquitectónico se relaciona por medio de la Bahía para resaltar el hecho cultural, buscando evocar la llamada cultura de mar de la bahía cartagenera. Esta búsqueda se da mediante la reactivación de los lugares de mayor importancia de la ciudad y el patrimonio inmaterial, con el fin de fortalecer el turismo, la identidad y la apropiación de la población y sus visitantes sobre de la ciudad. A partir del tema planteado se proyecta un Hotel, implantado en un contexto estratégico con un potencial histórico, cultural y turístico, lugar en donde se conforma la historia de la ciudad que daba apertura al nuevo mundo y actualmente funciona como articulador de la ciudad colonial con la moderna. Como punto de partida para entender el proyecto arquitectónico se pretende recuperar la cultura nativa de Cartagena incluyendo a la población local en la reconstrucción de recorridos turísticos.

The following study research emerges from the relationship of the architectonic structure to bring along the formation of the cultural landscape of Cartagena bay. This study investigates the most important places from Cartagena that highlight the historical heritage which is remarkably intangible, ought to strengthen the tourism, identity and the positive impact from both the locals and tourists towards the city. From the previous statement, a Hotel is expected to be positioned in an strategic context which contains a cultural, historical and touristic potential, to be settled in a place where both the history of the city plays a crucial role hence working as an articulator between the colonial towards the modern perspective. The main idea to understand the previous architectural design project, is the aim to rescue the native historical culture of the colonial Cartagena thus including the local habitants in the reconstruction of the touristic routes of the city.
