Rehabitar la Memoria : Centro Comunitario Intercultural como Resignificación de la Cosmovisión Indígena por Medio de la Arquitectura

Abstract

Este proyecto sugiere la creación de un espacio arquitectónico comunitario intercultural que incorpora la cosmovisión muisca en el ambiente urbano del vecindario El Tintal, en Bogotá. Se persigue crear un espacio de reunión, identidad cultural y progreso sostenible que potencie la participación de la comunidad y el vínculo entre lo moderno y lo tradicional. Los materiales, la luz natural, los sonidos, las proporciones y las formas se combinan desde un enfoque emocional; en cambio, componentes como la dirección del sol, el empleo del círculo o la existencia de los cuatro elementos naturales añaden una dimensión espiritual a la vida. No se considera al centro como un espacio funcional tradicional, sino como un ambiente que tiene la capacidad de ser simbólico y de generar cambios.

No se trata de un espacio clínico ni religioso, sino más bien un refugio que funciona como una pausa ante la desconexión y el ritmo fragmentado de las ciudades modernas. Este centro comunitario invita al usuario a residir desde el cuerpo y su interior, fomentando la conciencia del entorno y la armonía interna. La propuesta combina saberes científicos con la cosmovisión muisca ancestral, resaltando el rol del espacio como intermediario entre lo natural, lo cultural y lo emocional, y sugiriendo una arquitectura que no solo se ocupa, sino que además protege, cambia y vuelve a conectar.

This project suggests the creation of an intercultural community architectural space that incorporates the Muisca worldview into the urban environment of the El Tintal neighborhood in Bogotá. The aim is to create a space for gathering, cultural identity, and sustainable progress that fosters community participation and the connection between the modern and the traditional. Materials, natural light, sounds, proportions, and forms are combined from an emotional perspective; in contrast, components such as the direction of the sun, the use of the circle, and the presence of the four natural elements add a spiritual dimension to the design Life. The center is not considered a traditional functional space, but rather an environment with the capacity to be symbolic and to generate change.

It is not a clinical or religious space, but rather a refuge that serves as a pause from the disconnection and fragmented rhythm of modern cities. This community center invites users to inhabit their bodies and their inner selves, fostering awareness of the environment and inner harmony. The proposal combines scientific knowledge with the ancestral Muisca worldview, highlighting the role of space as an intermediary between the natural, the cultural, and the emotional, and suggesting an architecture that not only occupies, but also protects, transforms, and reconnects.
