Abstract

La presente investigación propone la reconfiguración del paisaje urbano-deportivo de Paipa (Boyacá) mediante la reintegración del río Chicamocha y la intervención de la pista atlética como equipamiento multifuncional, utilizando la analogía ajedrecística como método proyectual. Partiendo del diagnóstico territorial “área de intervención: 45.000 m² ” se identifica la fragmentación ecológica y funcional del corredor ribereño y el grado de deterioro e insuficiencia técnica de la infraestructura deportiva, así como la persistencia de prácticas deportivas y culturales locales que constituyen un patrimonio inmaterial potencialmente recuperable. El objetivo general es restituir la relación entre agua, ciudad y habitantes mediante una intervención arquitectónica estratégica que integre criterios ecológicos, operativos y socioculturales. Para ello se formulan objetivos específicos orientados al análisis de la fragmentación urbana y ecológica; a la interpretación del paisaje como herramienta proyectual; al diagnóstico funcional de la pista atlética; a la aplicación de principios ajedrecísticos para el ordenamiento espacial.

This research proposes the reconfiguration of the urban-sports landscape of Paipa (Boyacá) through the reintegration of the Chicamocha River and the transformation of the athletic track into a multifunctional facility, using chess as a design method. Based on a territorial diagnosis of the 45,000 m² intervention area, the ecological and functional fragmentation of the riverside corridor is identified, along with the degree of deterioration and technical inadequacy of the sports infrastructure, as well as the persistence of local sports and cultural practices that constitute a potentially recoverable intangible heritage. The overall objective is to restore the relationship between water, the city, and its inhabitants through a strategic architectural intervention that integrates ecological, operational, and sociocultural criteria. To this end, specific objectives are formulated, focusing on the analysis of urban and ecological fragmentation; the interpretation of the landscape as a design tool; the functional diagnosis of the athletic track; and the application of chess principles for spatial organization.
