Fragments of Landscape, is an architectural project that reimagines the natural landscape as an active agent in the evocation of collective memory in territories affected by Colombia’s armed conflict. The study focuses on Calamar, Guaviare, a region shaped by decades of violence, where the Amazonian geography —forests, rivers, and rural roads— has served both as a silent witness and a victim of war, displacement, and environmental degradation. Through a methodology that combines territorial analysis with historical research based on local testimonies, the project develops a Memory Center structured along a spatial narrative of three levels: underground, semi-underground, and aligned with the horizon. This sequence offers a sensory and symbolic experience where visitors move from intimate introspection to open contemplation of the natural environment. The design incorporates existing symbolic landmarks, such as the municipal cemetery and the local police base, as emotional thresholds of the journey. Its orientation embraces key visual connections to the landscape, reinforcing the emotional and memorial ties between territory and community. The architecture seeks not to impose, but to integrate and dialogue with the site, offering spaces for mourning, reconciliation, and collective healingen
