Arquitectura biofílica como respuesta a la densificación urbana

Abstract

Este estudio tiene como objetivo explorar cómo la arquitectura biofílica puede ofrecer una respuesta efectiva al fenómeno de densificación urbana, fortaleciendo la conexión entre el ser humano y su entorno en el municipio de Fusagasugá, Cundinamarca. A través de la aplicación de principios biofílicos, se busca integrar un espacio dentro del tejido urbano que, correctamente diseñado, facilite el restablecimiento del vínculo natural entre las personas y el ambiente, promoviendo su bienestar físico. La arquitectura biofílica emplea elementos que estimulan los sentidos mediante el uso de texturas naturales, sonidos, aromas y variaciones de luz y sombra que imitan condiciones naturales, creando espacios que invitan tanto al refugio como a la exploración. Este proyecto propone el diseño de un Jardín Botánico, estratégicamente ubicado para una integración adecuada con el entorno construido, asegurando facilidad de acceso y percepción de seguridad. De este modo, se pretende crear un espacio que fomente el bienestar y la conexión de la comunidad, resaltando el sentido de pertenencia y la riqueza natural e histórica del entorno. Fusagasugá, conocida a nivel nacional como "la Ciudad Jardín de Colombia", ofrece un contexto único debido a sus características naturales que permiten el crecimiento de una amplia diversidad.

This study aims to explore how biophilic architecture can offer an effective response to the phenomenon of urban densification, strengthening the connection between human beings and their environment in the municipality of Fusagasuga, Cundinamarca. Through the application of biophilic principles, we seek to integrate a space within the urban fabric that, properly designed, facilitates the reestablishment of the natural link between people and the environment, promoting their physical well-being. Biophilic architecture employs elements that stimulate the senses through the use of natural textures, sounds, aromas, and variations of light and shadow that mimic natural conditions, creating spaces that invite both refuge and exploration. This project proposes the design of a Botanical Garden, strategically located for adequate integration with the built environment, ensuring ease of access and perception of security. In this way, the aim is to create a space that promotes the well-being and connection of the community, highlighting the sense of belonging and the natural and historical wealth of the environment. Fusagasuga, known nationally as "the Garden City of Colombia", offers a unique context due to its natural characteristics that allow the growth of a wide diversity.
