Restauración del malecón turístico de Leticia - Amazonas

Abstract

"El Puente de Encuentro" es un proyecto que refleja mi visión para la restauración y revitalización del malecón turístico de Leticia, ubicado en las orillas del majestuoso río Amazonas. Este espacio, fundamental para la actividad económica, social y turística de la ciudad, enfrenta actualmente desafíos significativos, como el deterioro de su infraestructura, la contaminación, el desorden provocado por el comercio informal y una desconexión palpable con la identidad cultural y natural del entorno. Mi propuesta plantea una solución integral basada en la organización del malecón en tres paisajes interconectados. El paisaje cercano se traduce en un paseo lineal que crea una armonía entre el entorno urbano y natural. El paisaje intermedio toma forma a través de un pabellón que establece un diálogo entre el río y la comunidad, mientras que el paisaje lejano culmina en un mirador panorámico, ofreciendo vistas únicas del Amazonas y de las ciudades vecinas en Brasil y Perú. Todo el diseño tiene como eje central la figura del rombo, un símbolo que representa conexión, estabilidad y el equilibrio indispensable entre el ser humano y la naturaleza. El objetivo de este proyecto no es solo resolver los problemas actuales del malecón, sino también transformarlo en un espacio público inclusivo, sostenible y auténticamente representativo de la identidad amazónica. Busco mejorar la calidad de vida de los habitantes de Leticia y brindar a los visitantes una experiencia inolvidable, que los invite a observar, aprender y conectar. Es una oportunidad para promover una relación más profunda y respetuosa con el entorno natural y cultural, celebrando la riqueza del Amazonas en toda su magnitud.

The Bridge of Encounter is a project that embodies my vision for the restoration and revitalization of the Leticia tourist boardwalk, located on the banks of the majestic Amazon River. This space, essential to the city’s economic, social, and tourist activity, currently faces significant challenges, including infrastructure deterioration, pollution, disorder caused by informal vendors, and a tangible disconnection from the cultural and natural identity of the area. My proposal offers an integrated solution, organizing the boardwalk into three interconnected landscapes. The near landscape takes shape as a linear promenade harmonizing the urban and natural surroundings. The intermediate landscape is represented by a pavilion that fosters a dialogue between the river and the community, while the distant landscape culminates in a panoramic viewpoint offering unique vistas of the Amazon River and neighboring cities in Brazil and Peru. The design revolves around the diamond shape, a geometric symbol representing connection, stability, and the essential balance between humanity and nature. The aim of this project is not only to address the current issues of the boardwalk but also to transform it into an inclusive, sustainable, and genuinely representative public space that celebrates the Amazonian identity. I seek to improve the quality of life for Leticia's residents while offering visitors an unforgettable experience that invites them to observe, learn, and connect. This is an opportunity to promote a deeper, more respectful relationship with the natural and cultural environment, honoring the vast richness of the Amazon in all its magnificence.
