El hogar como elemento de la arquitectura: Hogar Geriátrico - Honda Tolima

Abstract

El hogar para el ser humano no únicamente es un espacio entre paredes, ni la ubicación espacial del lugar, hay más factores que generan el sentido de hogar en un espacio, empezando por el interior, la habitación y lo que la ocupa, el arraigo que genera nace desde sus pertenencias, Juhani Pallasmaa, en Los Ojos de la Piel (2014), dice que el hogar se define por focos simbólicos y funcionales, como la entrada, la ventana, el fogón y los recuerdos que estos espacios generan, creando arraigo emocional y una conexión profunda con el lugar. El mismo autor sostiene que la arquitectura, sin embargo, ha perdido la esencia del hogar al centrarse en discursos estéticos y vanguardistas, ignorando las necesidades emocionales y existenciales de los habitantes. Por lo que incluir el hogar en la arquitectura es esencial, pues siendo así el espacio trasciende de el uso y funcionalidad para resonar emocionalmente con quien lo ocupa, haciendo así que haya sentido de pertenencia y por consiguiente confort. Por ello se implementan estrategias desde el interior de la habitación, siendo lugares privados que emulen el interior de viviendas tradicionales, incorporando también materiales cálidos que evoquen memorias sensoriales, y balcones con el mismo propósito, contribuyendo a mejorar el bienestar emocional y la sensación de refugio. Además en planta baja se implementan actividades comunitarias, espacios abiertos, y comercio con el fin de generar autonomía en los habitantes. Todo esto teniendo en cuenta que es un centro geriátrico, ubicado en Honda Tolima.

For this reason, strategies are implemented from inside the room, being private places that emulate the interior of traditional homes, also incorporating warm materials that evoke sensory memories, and balconies with the same purpose, contributing to improving emotional well-being and the feeling of refuge. . Additionally, community activities, open spaces, and commerce are implemented on the ground floor in order to generate autonomy in the inhabitants. All this taking into account that it is a geriatric center, located in Honda Tolima.
