Centro Memoria - Testimonios: un Lugar que Nace, se Expande y Evoluciona Dejando Trazas Históricas

Abstract

En esta investigación se realizó el desarrollo de una propuesta arquitectónica para el conjunto histórico “Complejo hospitalario San Juan de Dios” patrimonio de la nación en condiciones en desuso por medio del reuso adaptivo del espacio y generando estrategias a partir de la memoria histórica, estética y principalmente de la memoria testimonial. Se realizó un trabajo de campo para el reconocimiento de patrimonio y recolección de memorias testimoniales de la comunidad, grabadas y transcritas para uso de estas como memorias orientadoras en el diseño arquitectónico. Se intervino un total de 4 edificaciones que componen el eje fundacional: El inmunológico, San Jorge, San Roque y Siberia. En donde la memoria testimonial fue orientadora para función y disposición de espacios. El total de esta intervención tenía como fin una propuesta arquitectónica de un centro memoria donde se estudie el pasado, presente y futuro del patrimonio arquitectónico nacional a través del reuso del eje fundacional.

In this research, an architectural proposal was developed for the historic complex "Hospital San Juan de Dios” a national heritage site currently in disuse, through the adaptive reuse of space and the creation of strategies based on historical, aesthetic, and, primarily, testimonial memory. Fieldwork was conducted to recognize the heritage and collect testimonial memories from the community, which were recorded and transcribed for use as guiding memories in the architectural design. A total of four buildings that make up the “eje fundacional” were intervened: El Inmunológico, San Jorge, San Roque, and Siberia. In these interventions, testimonial memory guided the function and arrangement of spaces. The goal of this intervention was to develop an architectural proposal for a memory centre, where the past, present, and future of national architectural heritage can be studied through the adaptative reuse of the “eje fundacional”.
