Complejo Turístico La Reserva: Rehabilitación Arquitectónica de una Extractora de Palma en San Carlos de Guaroa, Meta

Abstract

En el municipio de San Carlos de Guaroa, Meta se encuentra un paisaje vinculado con la palma africana que ha logrado ser el principal motor del crecimiento del municipio por 60 años. La infraestructura más representativa es la extractora, que una vez cumplida su vida útil, aproximadamente 25 años, ha finalizado dejando en desuso un predio con potencial turístico. El objetivo del proyecto de grado es proponer la rehabilitación de la infraestructura de la extractora para uso turístico que le devuelva vitalidad al terreno. Este proyecto de rehabilitación arquitectónica, propone reutilizar los elementos que se encuentran en el lugar, mobiliario que se usaba para la extracción del aceite de palma y brindarle otro uso en las adecuaciones turística; consecuente a esto generar un rescate de la memoria colectiva, en torno a la palma y el papel que esta ha tenido en el desarrollo socioeconómico del municipio. Para lograr a este planteamiento se recurrió a un levantamiento del lugar y una valoración del estado de los elementos que conforman la infraestructura para poder determinar su reutilización. Son limitadas las posibilidades de rehabilitación por esta razón se propone un complejo turístico centrado en la actividad extractiva, la cual se propone como el foco de atracción para el parque infantil y el complejo ecoturístico, todo a partir del uso de materiales reciclados de la infraestructura inicial.

In the municipality of San Carlos de Guaroa, Meta, there is a landscape linked to the African palm that has managed to be the main engine of growth for the municipality for 60 years. The most representative infrastructure is the extractor, which once it’s useful life, approximately 25 years, has ended, leaving a property with tourist potential in disuse. The objective of the degree project is to propose the rehabilitation of this infrastructure, the extractor, to rehabilitate it for tourist use, restoring vitality to the property. The project of degree of architectural advance, proposes to reuse the elements that are in the place, furniture that was used for the extraction of palm oil and give it another use in tourist adaptations; Consistent with this, generating a rescue of the collective memory, around the palm and the role that it has had in the socioeconomic development of the municipality, to reach this approach, a survey of the place and an assessment of the state of the elements were used. that make up the infrastructure to determine its reuse. The possibilities of reuse are limited, for this reason a tourist complex focused on extractive activity is proposed, which is proposed as the focus of attraction for the children's playground and the ecotourism complex, all from the use of recycled materials from the initial infrastructure.
