El Espacio Público como Catalizador del Valor Patrimonial y la Memoria Colectiva

Abstract

La desconexión de un entorno construido de valor patrimonial con el contexto urbano inmediato, es una problemática que se presenta en escenarios como el barrio La Alameda en Bogotá D.C., donde la implantación de volúmenes arquitectónicos no solo oculta, sino que no aporta jerarquía e importancia a los Bienes de Interés Cultural - BICs, tampoco ofrece espacio público de calidad, de manera que se incrementa y dificulta el ejercicio de recorrer, reconocer, recordar el espacio y a su vez el de no interpretar la realidad de su tiempo dentro del contexto histórico perteneciente al concepto de la memoria. Por esta razón, la apuesta del proyecto de grado es analizar cómo el espacio público puede actuar como catalizador del valor patrimonial y la memoria, bajo principios de vitalidad en intervenciones de renovación urbana, por lo que se propone el diseño de espacio público con el fin de vincular los BICs con su contexto inmediato y de esta forma generar dinámicas que logren preservar, resignificar el patrimonio, y recuperar la historia del lugar, a través del ejercicio de la memoria. Esto fue posible mediante el desarrollo de 3 etapas metodológicas soportadas en el análisis de intervenciones de espacio público asociadas al patrimonio, el reconocimiento de los bienes de interés cultural y de la imagen urbana del segmento de estudio, a fin de aportar un espacio más humano y vital, diseñado por y para el usuario, que se articula con el lugar y permite potenciar los patrimonios. El alcance del proyecto es identificar estrategias de intervención de espacio público en contextos patrimoniales, replicables en otros lugares con determinadas características y condiciones.

For this reason, the goal of the graduation project is to analyze how the public space can act as a catalyst for heritage value and memory, under principles of vitality in urban renewal interventions, Therefore, the urban design of a partial plan is proposed in order to link ICBs with their immediate context and thus generate dynamics that manage to preserve, resignify heritage, and recover the history of the place, through the exercise of memory. This is possible through the development of 3 methodological stages supported in the analysis of interventions of public space associated with heritage, the recognition of cultural assets and the urban image of the study segment, in order to provide a more human and vital space, designed by and for the user, that is articulated with the place and allows to enhance the patrimonies, Thus, it is specified that the scope of the project is to identify strategies of intervention of public space in heritage contexts, replicable in other places with certain characteristics and conditions.
