This study aimed to strengthen the protective factors in relation to attitudinal barriers and social representations that arise in the inclusion of children and adolescents with ASD at the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela School IED. A qualitative research was carried out, under the critical-social paradigm, with the Participatory Action Research (IAP) method. The sample consisted of students from courses 602 and 701, between the ages of 11-18 years with approximately 50 boys and girls, 8 with ASD and 7 support teachers. For data collection, different instruments were designed at each stage of the IAP: Pre-diagnosis, Diagnosis, Intervention and Evaluation. The results of these phases indicated the presence of stigmas, stereotypes and prejudices in social representations about autism, barriers such as family, teachers, denial of ASD, difficulties in education such as exclusion and problems of violence and bullying, mental health difficulties such as depression and anxiety. In response, interventions were designed to strengthen students' protective factors and promote inclusion. There the students managed to learn the importance of inclusion, autism and changing their descriptions to more positive characteristics of their peers.en
