Abstract

La arquitectura deportiva en la gran mayoría de los casos se relaciona en primera instancia a estadios e infraestructuras monumentales reconocidas como referente de un país o ciudad. La materialidad en su envolvente, los conceptos de diseño, principios de sostenibilidad y relación con la imagen del lugar son algunos de los factores relevantes en el diseño de esta arquitectura.

El concepto de hito urbano traído del libro, Imagen para la ciudad: los hitos son considerados otro punto de referencia donde es la imagen exterior el aspecto principal que le da esta función de lugar ícono, Lynch (1960). Los equipamientos deportivos cumplen con esta característica, si adicional a este principio se integra la imagen con el paisaje y la participación de la comunidad, el valor referencial crece acompañado del sentido de identidad del lugar, en este caso del municipio de Subachoque.

La versatilidad y la inclusión social juegan un papel importante tanto en el desarrollo de la investigación como en el diseño del centro deportivo, estos dos conceptos se tienen en cuenta en la adaptación de los espacios, las actividades a realizarse, sus requerimientos para su adecuación y funcionalidad. No solo se requiere de la imagen del proyecto para ser un referente urbano, es necesario tener en cuenta su funcionalidad y vitalidad.

In most cases, sports architecture is primarily linked to stadiums and monumental infrastructures recognised as a reference for a country or city. The materiality of its envelope, the design concepts, the principles of sustainability and the relation with the image of the place are some of the factors pertinent in the design of this architecture. The concept of urban landmark brought from the book, Image for the city: the landmarks consider another point of reference where the exterior image is the main aspect that gives it this function of iconic space, Lynch (1960). The sports equipments comply with this characteristic, if in addition to this principle the image is integrated with the landscape and the participation of the community, the referential value grows accompanied by the sense of identity of the place, in this case the state of Subachoque. Versatility and social inclusion play an important role both in the development of research and in the design of the sports center, these two concepts are taken into account in the adaptation of spaces, the activities to be carried inside it, their requirements for their adaptation and functionality. Not only must the image of the project be an urban reference, but its functionality and vitality must be taken into consideration.
