Cultural identity is seen as a set of values, traditions and lifestyles that allow to be the element of union within a social group, acting as a method of acquisition of the socalled "sense of belonging" for the individuals who form it; the diversity of cultures needs to be emphasised, as the cultural identity of a people has been defined through multiple aspects (art, language, customs, etc.) Since its culture was first expressed, being an essential part of the human being and of a changing culture with its own variables and identities (Hopenhayn & Sojo, 2011). It is necessary to mention it given that starting from this idea it is considered necessary to make use of architecture as art to trigger a pedagogical and conscious line of teaching and learning, which allows the appropriation of cultural identity. This project aims to implement a cultural center as an architectural, artistic and pedagogical means of transmitting information, through which are given themes of the culture and history of the municipality of Tocancipá, as its use of pottery and agriculture being the mode of economy, its muisca cultural history that denotes the joy of the inhabitants that goes back to its beginnings because it was and is known as the valley of the joys, the different traditions of offerings and festivities, among others, as mentioned by Molina and Escribano in their writing, "in the case of the teaching of the social sciences, the elements that integrate the museums allow to be a record of the historical memory because they transmit aspects, facts of different cultures created gradually in the course of the centuries" (Escribano Miralles & Molina Puche, 2015), in this way the cultural center being the integration of artistic, pedagogical and architectural samples, will manage to perpetuate the record mentioned by the authors. It is worth mentioning the importance of cultural centres with respect to the savannah centre and how the development of their activities leads to an exponential advance on the preservation of cultural identity; Sabana Centro has six cultural centers in its different municipalities, allowing the cultural development and the continuous recovery of identity, characterizing them by their history and memory, without allowing economic development to replace the aforementioned.en
