Memoria y vínculos afectivos con el espacio en la arquitectura del caribe colombiano

Abstract

El presente proyecto de grado se enmarca en la línea de investigación de hábitat y territorio, tiene como finalidad generar una propuesta de vivienda que permita rescatar la memoria del caribe colombiano desde la arquitectura. Es claro que se han ido diluyendo los elementos formales que permiten identificar la arquitectura del caribe colombiano y su relación afectiva con el contexto arquitectónico. Las soluciones arquitectónicas recurren cada vez más a la implementación de tecnologías para la adaptación al entorno del caribe, en lugar de recurrir a los elementos formales del pasado como solución a los problemas y conservando así la tradición arquitectónica caribeña. En respuesta a esto, el proyecto de grado desarrollará el diseño de una vivienda unifamiliar que rescate la memoria arquitectónica del caribe colombiano, la relacione con el pasado y la recontextualice para el futuro. Lo que se busca con esto es generar un arquetipo de vivienda que sintetice la arquitectura caribeña en su carácter formal, proporcionando a la comunidad de Santa Verónica un referente arquitectónico que guíe sus esfuerzos en materia de la oferta cualitativa de vivienda en el corregimiento. Del presente trabajo se concluye que el corregimiento de Santa Verónica presenta una necesidad apremiante de mejorar su oferta de vivienda, promoviendo la construcción de viviendas dignas y de buena calidad. Para esto se debe trabajar en la conservación de la identidad cultural y la memoria colectiva por medio de la arquitectura, con el fin de generar un atractivo turístico que permita fortalecer la economía.

The purpose of the graduation project is to generate a housing proposal that allows the rescueing of the memory of the colombian caribbean approaching it from the architectural field. It is clear that the formal elements that make it posible to identify the characteristic architecture of the colombian caribbean and its affective relationship with the architectural context. Architectural solutions increasingly resort to the implementation of technologies for adaptation to the caribbean environment, instead of resorting to the formal elements of the past as a solution to problems and thus preserving the caribbean architectural tradition. In response to this, the project will develop the desing of a single-family home that rescues the architectural memory of the colombian caribbean, relates it to the past and recontextualizes it for the future. What is sought with this is to generate a housing archetype that synthesizes caribbean architecture in its formal aspects, providing the community of Santa Verónica with an architectural reference that guides its efforts in terms of the qualitative offer of housing within the district. From the present work it is concluded that the district of Santa Verónica is in urgent need to improve its housing supply, promoting the construction of dignified and good quality housing. In order to do this, work must be done on the conservation of cultural identity and collective memory through architecture, in order to create a touristic allure that allows the strengthening of the economy.
