Montajes como Estrategia para Configurar el Paisaje Urbano Histórico : Museo de Historia y Artes en Tunja

Abstract

Este trabajo de grado trata de la articulación de la arquitectura contemporánea en contextos patrimoniales, debido a la falta de estrategias útiles para componer y operar en ciudades históricas. Es importante contribuir a la solución de este problema, ya que la expansión urbana de las ciudades y sus constantes transformaciones espaciales han puesto en riesgo lo preexistente y su memoria. La ciudad de Tunja representa un legado histórico de Colombia con un extenso patrimonio, pero infravalorado, ya que fue cuna y taller de la libertad de varios países. Actualmente carece de propuestas contemporáneas e innovadoras para albergar la memoria de su legado. Por tanto, el objetivo de este trabajo fue diseñar un museo contemporáneo de historia y arte que articulara un contexto patrimonial como es el centro histórico de Tunja, mediante la implementación de estrategias formales previamente identificadas en proyectos paradigmáticos. Así, se sustenta como hipótesis de diseño que a través de operaciones formales desde el "montaje" entendido como una herramienta cinematográfica que sirve para componer el espacio arquitectónico, es posible articular las diversas partes con el todo y configurar un paisaje histórico.

This degree work deals with the articulation of contemporary architecture in heritage contexts, due to the lack of useful strategies to compose and operate in historic cities. It is important to contribute to the solution of this problem, since the urban expansion of cities, and their constant spatial transformations have placed the pre-existing and its memory at risk. The city of Tunja represents a historical legacy of Colombia with an extensive heritage, but undervalued, as it was the cradle and platform for the freedom of several countries. Currently it lacks contemporary and innovative proposals to house the memories of its legacy. Therefore, the objective of this work was to design a contemporary museum of history and art that would articulate a heritage context such as the historic center of Tunja, through the implementation of formal strategies previously identified in paradigmatic projects. Thus, it is sustained as a design hypothesis that through formal operations from "montage" understood as a cinematographic tool that serves to compose the architectural space, it is possible to articulate the various parts with the whole and configure a historical landscape.
