Ecotonos urbanos en la configuración del espacio púbico como escenario de transición entre estructuras urbanas

Abstract

El borde urbano constituye un espacio que acota las ciudades pero que a su vez enmarca un límite entre dos o más zonas, dicho límite se da debido a elementos físicos de separación que pueden ser parte de la estructura natural; tal comprensión de los límites genera una fractura entre los medios urbano y natural. En concordancia, se establece como fin la vinculación entre el tejido urbano y el sistema ambiental a través de un espacio de transición que mitigue el impacto de fragmentación que ha dejado el límite en la ciudad. Para ello, se propone abordar el ecotono como una estrategia proyectual de diseño urbano que permite articular el trazado y posibilitar el paso entre dichos ecosistemas. En este sentido, se aborda la noción del ecotono como espacios lineales que conforman franjas de confluencia entre lo urbano y lo natural, y que a su vez se transforman en potenciales articuladores del territorio. La propuesta metodológica se lleva a cabo mediante una revisión documental que permite establecer el problema, seguido de ello un diagnóstico y delimitación del lugar de intervención a fin de establecer un planteamiento de estrategias que permitan abordar dicha transición por medio del espacio público en un parque lineal ubicado en el municipio de Ubaté.

The urban edge constitutes a space that limits the cities but that in turn frames a limit between two or more zones, said limit is given due to physical elements of separation that can be part of the natural structure; Such an understanding of the limits generates a fracture between the urban and natural environments. Accordingly, the end of the link between the urban fabric and the environmental system is established through a transition space that mitigates the impact of fragmentation that the limit has left in the city. To do this, it is proposed to approach the ecotone as a project strategy of urban design that allows to articulate the layout and allow the passage between these ecosystems. In this sense, the notion of the ecotone as linear spaces that make up confluence fringes between the urban and the natural is addressed, and which in turn become potential articulators of the territory. The methodological proposal is carried out through a documentary review that allows to establish the problem, followed by a diagnosis and delimitation of the place of intervention in order to establish an approach of strategies that allow addressing this transition through public space in a linear park located in the municipality of Ubaté.
