Diseño y construcción de un sistema para la envoltura de chocolates

Abstract

El objetivo de este trabajo es realizar el diseño y construcción de un sistema automatizado capaz de realizar el proceso de empacado de una tableta de chocolate producida por la empresa Truffelinos: La Chocolatería. Esto con el fin de disminuir el tiempo que tarda este proceso para aumentar la productividad de la empresa.

Este trabajo se enfoca en realizar el proceso de manera automatizada, manteniendo las características estéticas del producto y buscando un tiempo de empacado de 1 chocolate por minuto. Teniendo en cuenta que el material de empaque es papel aluminio y el diseño debe velar por la seguridad de los operarios.

Durante la etapa de diseño se realizaron diversos procesos de selección para elegir los materiales y componentes teniendo en cuenta factores tanto cuantitativos como cualitativos, terminando en un prototipo funcional, automatizado y confiable, con varios sistemas de seguridad y de las menores dimensiones posibles para adaptarse a las instalaciones de la empresa.

La implementación final consta de un sistema neumático de actuadores lineales que realizan pliegues sobre el papel aluminio cubriendo el chocolate en su totalidad. Adicional a esto, el prototipo cuenta con un sistema de control basado en un microcontrolador que se encarga del funcionamiento general de la máquina y de detener el proceso en caso de una emergencia.

Concluyendo con una máquina capaz de realizar el proceso de empacado en 20s, igualando el tiempo que tarda una persona en realizar este proceso de forma manual, manteniendo un diseño estético en el chocolate empacado. Esto, dejando campo para trabajos futuros de mejorar los diferentes sistemas dentro de la máquina para que pueda operar de manera óptima en una producción de chocolates.

This document details the design and construction of an automated system capable of carrying out the wrapping process of a chocolate bar produced by the Tru↵elinos: La Chocolater´ıa company. with the objective to lower the time it takes for this process and increase the productivity of the company. This work focuses on carrying out the process in an automated way, maintaining the aesthetic characteristics of the product and seeking a wrapping time of 1 chocolate per minute. Taking into account that the wrapping material is aluminum foil and the design must ensure the safety of the operators. During the design stage, various selection processes were carried out to choose the materials and components taking into account both quantitative and qualitative factors, ending in a functional, automated and reliable prototype, with various safety systems and the smallest possible dimensions to adapt to the company’s facilities. The final implementation consists of a pneumatic system of linear actuators that make folds on the aluminum foil, covering the chocolate in its entirety. In addition to this, the prototype has a control system based on a micro controller that is responsible for the general operation of the machine and for stopping the process in case of an emergency. Concluding with a machine capable of carrying out the packing process in 20 seconds, matching the time it takes for a person to carry out this process manually, maintaining an aesthetic design in the wrapped chocolate. All this, leaving room for future work to improve the di↵erent systems within the machine so that it can operate optimally in a chocolate production.
