As architects we know that our designs are made to interact mainly with human beings, we achive this through function and aesthetics trying to find balance between them, nevertheless human-architecture interactions go beyond use and beauty, one of such interactions is the effect that architecture has over the human mind, this thought is not new, authors like Peter Zumthor and Jan Gehl among others have previously written about the consequences of specific architecture characteristics and the built environment have over human beings, despite this there isn’t any compilation of architectonic characteristics that generate mental wellbeing, specifically changes in behaviour, mood and wellbeing. The objective of this article is to create said compilation from peer reviwed scientific articles available as open access on different repositories online, as fundamental criteria it is considered necesary that the characteristics and its consequences have been tested through experiments, surveys and/or observations in built examples. With this information a list of characteristics is made with a brief explanation of its positive effect.en
