Erosion is a natural process that occurs in soils and is caused by various factors such as: wind and rain; Rainfall is the one that most influences this problem of soil wear, generating sliding problems on the slopes and therefore affecting construction projects in civil engineering. The study of soil problems caused by erosion is largely attributed to professionals in agriculture and agronomy, in fact, they have carried out research to quantify the damage to the land by building rain simulators to be used in the field. It is proposed in this research to build a rain simulator to be used in the laboratory and thus in a simpler way to represent a precipitation and that it falls on an already prepared soil, generating real conditions so that the erosion by surface runoff of the rain, to carry out this purpose, the equipment to be built has a water reservoir that is connected with a hose to a transparent acrylic tank with a volume of 5 liters, this container allows to regulate the rate of fall of the water to the ground applying the principle of the Mariotte bottle, to generate the raindrops there is an acrylic plate which is made 100 holes of 2mm each and adjusting the height of fall of these drops of water by means of a few adjustable supports, it is a device that allows many tests to be carried out in the laboratory because it is possible to change the test floors and because the test can be performed czar in a minuteeng
