Identificación de usuarios, automatización del proceso de análisis y clasificación de información en repositorios históricos

Abstract

En el mundo actual, la necesidad de integración de datos es una función vital y exigente, la información generada es cada vez más grande y diversa, una necesidad dada por la manera de representar información que también se vuelve diversa. Así mismo, desde este escenario se debe garantizar la calidad de los datos para los procesos de toma de decisiones y cualquier análisis basado en los resultados. En este trabajo se realiza un estudio de la herramienta de integración de datos SQL Server (Integration Services) o SSIS que básicamente gestiona ETL's (extrayendo, transformando y cargando) que son módulos para el tratamiento y manejo de datos, que ofrecen alternativas robustas para la gestión de volúmenes de información. El estudio de caso de este proyecto mostrará cómo funciona la herramienta frente a un problema real, en este caso bienestar institucional como una de las dependencias que forma parte de la Universidad Piloto de Colombia que brinda varios servicios integrales de capacitación para el beneficio de los estudiantes que se promueven a través de los programas de Salud, Cultura, Deporte, Promoción y Desarrollo y el Programa de Orientación Universitaria - POU. El desarrollo de esta solución se centra en la automatización y gestión de la información histórica contenida en los registros de alumnos, profesores, administradores y externos que han participado a lo largo de los años en las distintas actividades de integración que ofrece bienestar, la identificación de los diferentes usuarios a través de su número de identidad se maneja manualmente y a través de herramientas ofimáticas que hacen que este proceso lleve un tiempo significativo. Esto también con lleva el riesgo de perder la calidad de los datos; debido a que no se cuenta con un proceso de actualización eficiente.

In today's world, the need for data integration is a vital and demanding function, the information generated is increasingly larger and more diverse, a need given by the way to represent information that also becomes diverse. Likewise, this scenario must guarantee the quality of data for decision-making processes and any resultsbased analysis. In this work, a study is carried out of the data integration tool SQL Server (Integration Services) or SSIS that basically manages ETL's (extracting, transforming and loading) which are modules for the treatment and handling of data, which offer robust alternatives for the management of volumes of information. The case study of this project will show how the tool works against a real problem, in this case institutional welfare as one of the dependencies that is part of the Pilot University of Colombia that provides several comprehensive training services for the benefit of students that are promoted through the programs of Health, Culture, Sport, Promotion and Development and the University Orientation Program - POU. The development of this solution focuses on the automation and management of the historical information contained in the registers of students, teachers, administrators and outsiders who have participated over the years in the different integration activities that offer wellbeing, the identification of different users through their identity number is handled manually and through office automation tools that make this process take a significant time. This also leads to the risk of losing data quality, because there is no efficient updating process.
