Modelo arquitectónico penitenciario como medio de resocialización a partir del hábitat

Abstract

El presente proyecto de grado para la titulación profesional como Arquitecto, tiene como objetivo desarrollar un modelo arquitectónico penitenciario que sirva como una rápida respuesta al hacinamiento y se centre enfáticamente en desarrollar la misión de resocialización de los internos, para así mismo reducir los índices de reincidencia. El modelo se verá efectuado en la concepción de un nuevo equipamiento penitenciario de resocialización y rehabilitación social para varones cuyos delitos sean de bajo y mediano grado, el cual se caracteriza por integrar espacios externos con internos, a través de un mejor uso del límite, con aperturas respetuosas a la naturaleza circundante y aplicando transparencias que desarrollen sensaciones de proximidad con el territorio al que se irán a re integrar los condenados tras cumplir su condena. Dicho límite recibe el nombre de “límite difuso”, actúa como contenedor respetuoso tanto para el usuario como para la ciudad, moldeando así la percepción del interno en un ámbito positivo en su proceso de re educación, repercutiendo en su conducta transformada a través del espacio y así mismo generando sensaciones de seguridad y conexión con la ciudad, sin generar límites agresivos ni culatas des articuladoras. A esto se suman múltiples conceptos que apuntan al mismo tratamiento a partir de los espacios, como lo son las plantas libres para generar un límite horizontal extenso y sin obstrucciones, retrocesos del paramento que respetan la implantación del edificio frente a la escala humana, conexión ambiental entre las zonas urbanizadas con los ejes naturales, seguridad desde el interior al exterior vigilando en todo momento el paisaje adyacente, áreas libres al interior del edificio para transmitir percepción de libertad y ambiente natural, espacios con confort habitacional en cuanto a apariencia y acondicionamiento.

The present degree project for the professional degree as Architect, aims to develop a prison architectural model that serves as a rapid response to overcrowding and emphatically focuses on developing the mission of resocialization of inmates, in order to reduce recidivism rates. The model will be carried out in the conception of a new penitentiary facility for resocialization and social rehabilitation for men whose crimes are of low and medium degree, which is characterized by integrating external spaces with internal spaces, through a better use of the limit, with respectful openings to the surrounding nature and applying transparencies that develop feelings of proximity with the territory to which the convicted will be re-integrated after serving their sentence. This limit is called the “diffuse limit”, it acts as a respectful container for both the user and the city, thus shaping the perception of the inmate in a positive environment in their re-education process, having an impact on their behavior transformed through space and likewise generating feelings of security and connection with the city, without generating aggressive limits or disarticulating butts. To this are added multiple concepts that point to the same treatment from the spaces, such as free floors to generate an extensive horizontal limit and without obstructions, setbacks of the facing that respect the implantation of the building compared to the human scale, environmental connection between urbanized areas with natural axes, security from the inside to the outside, monitoring the adjacent landscape at all times, free areas inside the building to convey the perception of freedom and natural environment, spaces with residential comfort in terms of appearance and conditioning.
