Arquitectura terapéutica: una nueva visión al diseño hospitalario

Abstract

El diseño hospitalario, por algún tiempo se ha centrado más en la funcionalidad de los edificios que en las condiciones de habitabilidad, creando lugares totalmente ajenos a los usuarios. Entendiendo que las necesidades de los seres humanos deberían volverse un tema primordial a la hora de diseñar hospitales, estudiando las necesidades físicas y psicológicas de los usuarios que lo van a habitar, la arquitectura terapéutica, nos brinda un perfeccionamiento en el diseño hospitalario, donde se fusionan varios aspectos para crear lugares más confortables, hospitales orientados hacia las necesidades de los pacientes y cuerpo médico.

Hospital design, for some time has focused more on the functionality of buildings than on the conditions of habitability, creating places totally alien to the users. Understanding that the needs of human beings should become a primary issue when designing hospitals, studying the physical and psychological needs of users who will inhabit it, therapeutic architecture, gives us a refinement in hospital design, where several aspects merge to create more comfortable places, hospitals oriented to the needs of patients and medical staff.
