Intervalo espacial como mediador entre el interior y el exterior

Abstract

La concepción del límite permite un entendimiento entre la relación del interior con el exterior y lo relevante que es para un vínculo entre el espectador y la obra arquitectónica. Si bien, el límite entre interior-exterior en la arquitectura se convierte en un espacio intermedio, carece de una interacción del usuario dentro de este recorrido previo al proyecto. Para ello, se aborda la noción del intervalo como representación de límite que propone el acto de pausa y contemplación para crear una experiencia significativa dentro de un espacio mediador del exterior con el interior. Este proyecto resaltará el contraste cultural entre el mundo oriental y occidental y su visión sobre el intervalo espacial en la arquitectura para identificar distintas maneras de manifestar este concepto y plasmarlas en un proyecto arquitectónico.

The concept of limit allows us an understanding between the relationship of the interior with the exterior, and how relevant it is for a beneficial link between the viewer and the architectural work. Although the interior-exterior boundary in architecture becomes an intermediary space, it lacks user interaction with this pre-project journey. For this, the notion of the spatial interval as a representation of limit is approached, and under its definition, an attempt is made to bring the act of pause and contemplation closer to create a more significant experience within a mediating space of the exterior with the interior. This writing will take advantage of the cultural contrast of the eastern and western world, and its visions on the spatial interval in architecture, from identifying their variations in characteristics, to their manifestations of this concept and translate them into an architectural project.
