The present research sought to analyze the perception of satisfaction of thirty-one parents of premature babies belonging to the Integral Kangaroo Mother Care (IKMC) and at the same time, the perception of ten health professionals belonging to the IKMC in relation to the care given to their son in three moments of intervention: neonatal, ambulatory 6 months and ambulatory 12 months. The study is descriptive type and cross-sectional cohort, where using the Parental Stress Scale (PSS), the Impact Of Event Scale Revised (IES-R), and an instrument developed for research, would determine the perception of parents through the variables stress, anxiety and growth and abilities. The hypotheses suggest that there is an improvement in the perception of parents as symptoms of stress, anxiety decrease and growth skills and abilities increase. It was found that stress is the variable that decreases the most, and there is a better perception of growth and capacities in the ambulatory stages than the neonatal one; on the other hand, health professionals perceive that parents have a greater perception of satisfaction towards care in the ambulatory stages than in the neonatal stage, decreasing stress behaviors and anxiety, meantime, increasing growth and abilities.eng
