Moisture damage is one of the most common problem that occurs in the layer of asphalt mixture that makes up a pavement structure, since it is this layer that is in direct contact with the environmental parameters, more specifically with the Water. The presence of water inside an asphalt mix generates variations in its degree of saturation, which is constantly changing due to changes in climatic conditions. The objective of this research is to evaluate the influence of the degree of saturation in the resistance of a cold asphalt mixture, modified with three percentages of recycled asphalt pavement or RAP, by its acronym in English Reclaimed Asphalt Pavement, of 0%, 10% and 15%. %. This is the first time that this phenomenon has been evaluated in an asphalt mix with these characteristics due to the fact that similar studies have been developed that evaluated other parameters in asphalt mixtures. In this study the samples were conditioned under five ambients of relative humidity of 8%, 31%, 46%, 80% and 100% making use of a solution of hygroscopic salts in distilled water: Silica Gel (Si02), Calcium Chloride (CaC12), Potassium Carbonate (K2CO3), Sodium Chloride NaCl) and Water (H20), using the steam balance technique (ASTMD E-104- 02, 2012) and studied by the indirect tensile test or TSR by its acronym in English Tensile Strength Ratio (INV-E725, 2012). These saline solutions were used in order to produce different environments of relative humidity that promote variation in the degree of saturation within the mixture. The results showed that the degree of saturation has a significant influence on the resistance of cold asphalt mixtures modified with RAP. In addition, it was observed that for specimens subjected to relative humidity between 40% and 60%, the tensile strength decreased in relation to other percentages of the degree of saturation.eng
