Significados construidos por un grupo de personas que llegan a Bogotá acerca de su experiencia de migración

Abstract

Bogotá es uno de los principales centros de atracción para los migrantes interdepartamentales de Colombia, considerado como una de las ciudades de destino de primer orden debido al imaginario que tienen las personas en busca de nuevas oportunidades laborales. A continuación, se exponen los resultados de un estudio de carácter cualitativo realizado con entrevistas a profundidad a cuatro personas que migraron de diferentes lugares del país a la ciudad de Bogotá.Lo anterior permitió comprender el significado que los participantes dan a su experiencia individual de migración, conocer los antecedentes que motivaron su decisión de migrar e identificar cuáles fueron las dificultades que enfrentaron y las estrategias que desarrollaron para conformar sus redes de apoyo. La experiencia de migración permite el descubrimiento de una diversidad de subjetividades dentro de los diferentes espacios individuales y colectivos que se construyeron a través de su instalación en la nueva ciudad.

Bogota is one of the main centers of attraction for migrants interdepartmental of Colombia, considered as one of the destination cities of first order because of the imagination of people in search of new opportunities. In this thesis, we present the results of a study of a qualitative nature made with in-depth interviews with four people who migrated from different parts of the country to the city of Bogota, what made it possible to understand the meanings that the participants give to their individual experience of migration, know the history that led to his decision to migrate and identify which were the hardships they faced and the strategies developed to shape their support networks. The migration experience allows for the discovery of a diversity of subjectivities within different individual and collective spaces that were built across its installation in the new city.
