Representaciones sociales de los habitantes del sector de Toberin frente a los recuperadores de basura

Abstract

Esta investigación parte de la problemática actual sobre el manejo de basuras y políticas públicas generadas por parte del gobierno, sumado a problemáticas sociales que influyen en el recuperador de basura como ser, habitante y trabajador de la calle. Reconoce que las representaciones explican el comportamiento de una comunidad relacionado con la información, imagen, actitudes y opiniones que ellos poseen; elementos constitutivos expuestos por Moscovici. Se diseña el instrumento RS-5 construido por 53 ítems para identificar las representaciones sociales de habitantes del Barrio Toberín frente a recuperadores de basura, aplicado a 100 personas entre hombres y mujeres mayores de edad. Obteniendo como resultados que los actores involucrados dan sentido al bienestar del Barrio Toberín, reconociendo a los recuperadores como seres con identidad propia, identificándolos como personas sin excluirlos de la sociedad, y desde la labor de los recuperadores se evidencia la necesidad de formación para el desarrollo de su actividad

This research comes from the nowadays’ problematic on the garbage handling and the several public policies issued by the government, in addition to other social problematic that influence the garbage recover or recycler individual’s attitude as human being, street resident and outdoors worker. There by, it is clear that representations explain a community behavior related to the information, image, attitudes and opinions they have; those constituent elements were set out by the Moscovici Social Representations theory. As a result, the RS-5 instrument is designed looking forward to identifying the social representations of the Toberín neighborhood residents toward the garbage’s recovers and recyclers individuals, was applied the instrument this is the development of the 53 items to altogether 100 people, including men and women legally of age. Getting as a result that the involved actors give importance to the Toberín's District well-being; that the recovers are admitted like human beings with own identity, identifying them as people without excluding them from the society, and towards the garbage recovers' work, it is demostrated the necessity of training for the development of their activity.
