During the last years, the explosive flowering of internet has led to a growing demand for
resources to manage and maintain the servers that support it, as well as tools to facilitate this
work.
NOMAD aims to provide an alternative for manage Linux servers based on Debian,
through an application for mobile devices that support Android 4.0 or higher; prioritizing the
features of simplicity, speed and security.
NOMAD does not purport to be a comprehensive tool that can be used in any type of work,
its main objective is to provide a means for carrying out minor adjustments and routine checks
on the server remotely and easily.
This project makes heavy use of SSH protocol as standard for communication between the
server and the mobile application, so it implements features of the client-server architecture,
HTML responses and scripting languages in the server side.
No way this project aims to fill the knowledge of a system administrator, it is considered
that the end user has the skills necessary to perform all tasks NOMAD allows, assuming the
consequences that they can generate.
