Este artículo se centrará en dar una explicación fácil dirigida a lograr una colaboración de la Supply Chain moderna desde el punto de vista de la demanda colaborativa, revisando un autor, como es el Doctor John Gattorna, el cual ha dedicado su vida al estudio y trabajo a este tema, una de las áreas más importantes de cualquier compañía. Se verá una parte de la Supply Chain dinámica según los planteamientos del Doctor John Gattorna, en su libro Dinamic Supply Chains How To design build and manage people-centric valué networks, así como la colaboración en la Supply Chain desde el lado de la demanda, capítulo 7, este enfoque hace referencia a segmentar clientes, dándoles prioridad y un buen servicio para mantenerlos fieles, integrando diferentes herramientas en el sistema, e incorporando la responsabilidad social de las organizaciones, todo enfocado hacia la satisfacción del consumidor final, para mantenerlos leales, y en colaboración de extremo a extremo, proveedores - empresa y el cliente para lograr un mismo objetivo, trabajar como una sola organización con el fin de reducir los costos, satisfacer la demanda y mejorar los tiempos de entrega y servicio.
