In disagreement with the barriers that have existed and that have prevented the dignified access of the indigenous communities to the health systems, the following research seeks to know how much integration and participation the communities and the promoters have had in the programs of health promotion and prevention. The objective of this study is to construct and validate a booklet to promote health promotion and prevention in indigenous communities based on traditional and biomedical knowledge. A monographic systematic documentary review of the scientific literature was carried out, where the information of community programs and some public policies towards indigenous communities in Colombia and Latin America are addressed. For the validation of contents, the Delphi technique was used, accompanied by experts in community and intercultural approaches. In the results obtained through the evaluation of the judges, scores from 0.8 to 10 were obtained, which allowed a positive validation of all the components of the booklet, taking into account that even the contents require cultural precision depending on the community, a greater emphasis on writing with non-technical language, approaches (differential, action without harm, among others), as well as the importance of the demographic, age and territorial data of each individual. It is concluded that after validation of contents using the technique CVC scores higher than 0. 7 which indicates a favorable value of the content of the booklet, however, it should be taken into account that for greater precision of the information it is necessary to follow the recommendations given by the judges evaluating the content of the booklet, these recommendations were received for each component of the same, initially for community health it is recommended that the terms to be used within the booklet were explained in a simpler way to understand, in addition to that, it is required that from a differential approach the cultural, territorial, age and gender particularities are recognized; For the second component of interculturality, it is suggested that technical terms such as “biomedical model”, “hegemonic system” or “interculturality in health” be broken down and accompanied by examples for a better reception and understanding of the information for indigenous communities. Finally, in the promotion and prevention component, recommendations were received from the judges such as avoiding some phrases that may sound like an imposition, but rather be more subtle, it would also be important to find a specific case in which the work of a jaibaná together with a western medical staff is evidenced. Taking this into account, it can be deduced that the implementation of respectful intercultural interventions that are free of action with harm could contribute significantly to improve relationships, dialogues and health indicators in these populations, in turn, it could reinforce the implementation of this traditional knowledge that can contribute to biomedical models and provide better sustainability in the programsen
