Aportes de la inteligencia artificial a la ciberseguridad

Abstract

En la era digital contemporánea, la ciberseguridad y la inteligencia artificial (IA) se entrelazan para ofrecer soluciones avanzadas ante las crecientes amenazas cibernéticas. El estudio se enfoca en examinar los aportes de la IA a la ciberseguridad, identificando tanto las oportunidades como los desafíos que surgen de esta simbiosis. Adoptando una metodología cualitativa y descriptiva basada en el análisis documental, se recopiló y analizó información de una variedad de fuentes secundarias, logrando una comprensión profunda de las dinámicas actuales entre la IA y la ciberseguridad. Los resultados destacan que la IA potencia significativamente la capacidad de las organizaciones para anticipar, detectar y responder a incidentes de seguridad cibernética. La automatización y el análisis de datos a gran escala ofrecidos por la IA permiten identificar patrones complejos y comportamientos sospechosos que serían difíciles de discernir para los humanos. Sin embargo, estos avances también presentan desafíos, como la necesidad de proteger la privacidad de los datos, evitar sesgos algorítmicos y prepararse para ataques cibernéticos más sofisticados que utilizan tecnologías de IA.

In the contemporary digital era, cybersecurity and artificial intelligence (AI) intertwine to offer advanced solutions against the growing cyber threats. The study focuses on examining the contributions of AI to cybersecurity, identifying both the opportunities and challenges that arise from this symbiosis. Adopting a qualitative and descriptive methodology based on document analysis, information from a variety of secondary sources was collected and analyzed, achieving a deep understanding of the current dynamics between AI and cybersecurity. The results highlight that AI significantly enhances organizations' ability to anticipate, detect, and respond to cybersecurity incidents. The automation and large-scale data analysis offered by AI allow for the identification of complex patterns and suspicious behaviors that would be difficult for humans to discern. However, these advances also present challenges, such as the need to protect data privacy, avoid algorithmic biases, and prepare for more sophisticated cyber-attacks using AI technologies.
