Descripción de los ataques distribuidos de denegación de servicios DDoS

Abstract

En el presente documento se definen, conceptualizan y ejemplifican los tipos de ataques distribuidos de denegación de servicios DDoS, partiendo de las motivaciones de los atacantes para la ejecución de las ofensivas, visualizando el impacto, la probabilidad y las consecuencias de las acciones de los ciberdelincuentes en las industrias mayormente afectadas. Se presenta una comparación de los diferentes tipos de ataques, así como las acciones de prevención y contención que se deben tomar en caso de un incidente de seguridad. Existen diferentes técnicas, herramientas y estrategias que son utilizadas para la puesta en marcha de estos ataques y que se listan en el documento.

This paper defines, conceptualizes and exemplifies the types of distributed denial-of-service DDoS attacks, starting from the motivations of the attackers for the execution of the offensives, visualizing the impact, probability and consequences of the actions of cybercriminals in the most affected industries. A comparison of the different types of attacks is presented, as well as the prevention and containment actions to be taken in case of a security incident. There are different techniques, tools and strategies that are used for the implementation of these attacks and are listed in the document.
