El centro de manzana como alternativa de renovación en municipios tradicionales

Abstract

La estructura urbana tradicional de los pueblos latinoamericanos y específicamente colombianos está en una disyuntiva frente a las necesidades contemporáneas de espacio público por cuanto el damero y la morfología consecuente en el plano continuo de las fachadas sólo está portando el andén peatonal como área de espacio público, la solución propuesta en este proyecto es la no expandir la ciudad innecesariamente si no utilizar algunos centros de manzana a partir de predios que están localizados y sub utilizados en el perímetro de la misma y a través de ellos estructurar nuevos espacios públicos y proyectos estratégicos de equipamiento, vivienda o comercio.

The project consists of a proposal for urban and architectural intervention in the block centers of the Subachoque municipality, which provides a new alternative to promote growth, the connection of the public space of the sector and likewise contribute to the development and dynamism in each of the blocks, by means of urban and architectural design strategies based on the needs of the inhabitants of the municipality of and the new passenger cars, representative characteristics of a totally orthogonal plot that, in turn, have been badly subdivided, which has generated that these are of great length and that are not used to 100% where the part that predominates in this are the facades and the patios are totally forgotten, which generates very large plots within the blocks and as previously said the most important thing are the facades since the inhabitants of the municipality do not see the economic potential of the rest of the lot, however this can be a great public potential, for this reason an urban renewal is proposed in the centers of the block as an expansion in the public space in the municipality of Subachoque which are defined from the habitat and territory.
