Migración de la plataforma de trabajo colaborativo de Google Workspace a Microsoft Office 365

Abstract

El proyecto “migración de la plataforma de trabajo colaborativo de Google Workspace a Microsoft Office 365” surge como una solución a una problemática identificada en la empresa MADUSA S.A., la cual que ha tenido retos relacionados con la integración de sus servicios de Workspace, Microsoft y plataformas propias de sus clientes o aliados estratégicos. Por lo cual, después de un análisis conjunto con la alta dirección y considerando los objetivos de negocio de la compañía, se tomó la decisión de migrar los servicios de correo electrónico y nube de usuarios hacia Microsoft 365, dado que esto permitiría una optimización de sus procesos e integración con servicios de clientes y aliados estratégicos. Para alcanzar el objetivo planteado por MADUSA S.A., se desarrolla el presente proyecto que definirá los pasos necesarios para la migración de plataformas, considerando las practicas recomendadas en Project Management Institute (PMI) y que se encuentran documentadas en la guía de fundamentos para la dirección de proyectos (PMBOK) sexta edición, estas prácticas apoyaran el cumplimiento del objetivo del proyecto y establecerán criterios que permitan identificar el estado actual del proyecto, así como los recursos humanos necesarios, costos y tiempos.

The project "migration of the collaborative work platform from Google Workspace to Microsoft Office 365" arises as a solution to a problem identified in the company MADUSA S.A., which has had challenges related to the integration of its Workspace, Microsoft and own platforms of their clients or strategic allies. Therefore, after a joint analysis with senior management and considering the company's business objectives, the decision was made to migrate the email and user cloud services to Microsoft 365, since this would allow an optimization of their processes and integration with customer services and strategic allies. In order to achieve the objective set by MADUSA S.A., this project is developed, which will define the necessary steps for platform migration, considering the recommended practices of the Project Management Institute (PMI) and which are documented in the fundamentals guide for project management. projects (PMBOK) sixth edition, these practices will support the fulfillment of the project objective and will establish criteria that allow identifying the current state of the project, as well as the necessary human resources, costs and times. This project arises from the problem presented by the company MADUSA S.A., since this company worked under the email infrastructure provided by Workspace, which caused the collaborators to present rework in their daily tasks, in addition to this, communication with their clients was quite separated and misaligned since they did not use said solution. It is for this reason that it was decided to migrate the collaborative work platform from Google (Workspace) to Microsoft Office 365, in order to improve the integration of the services of the company MADUSA S.A. with those of its clients and strengthen collaboration with internal staff.
