Complejo la Hortua: la Relación entre el Paisaje y el Cuerpo como Principio Ordenador de un Hospital Universitario

Abstract

La presente investigación trata sobre el cuerpo, paisaje y atmósferas arquitectónicas. El problema a cuya solución, pretende contribuir es la ausencia de estrategias vinculadas al paisaje en el diseño arquitectónico de un hospital de neurociencia y psiquiatria, en interacción con el cuerpo y las atmósferas. En concordancia con lo anterior, el objetivo general es diseñar un hospital en el Complejo Hospitalaria San Juan de Dios como obra arquitectónica sublime donde el paisaje sea el principio ordenador, humanizando el espacio y la vinculación con la atmósfera y el cuerpo. Para lograr este objetivo fue necesario identificar un contexto con paisaje natural, paisaje cultivado y paisaje arquitectónico, en el que resultara razonable insertar una obra arquitectónica sublime; posteriormente, fue necesario identificar estrategias de diseño desde diferentes enfoques de sensaciones corporales mencionadas por Zumthor y Pallasmaa, que contribuyan a poner el paisaje como centro de la obra arquitectónica; y finalmente aplicar dichas estrategias en el lugar identificado. A manera de conclusión, se pudo establecer que, la aplicación de estrategias de composición en las atmósferas y el cuerpo desde Zumthor y Pallasmaa, contribuiría a crear un hospital como obra sublime en capacidad para enaltecer el paisaje y la sensibilidad.

This research deals with the body, landscape and architectural atmospheres. The problem to whose solution it intends to contribute is the absence of strategies in the architectural design of a hospital, in interaction with the body and the atmospheres. In accordance with the above, the general objective is to design a hospital as a sublime architectural work where the landscape is the ordering principle, humanizing the space and linking it to the atmosphere and the body. To achieve this objective, it was necessary to identify a context with natural landscape, cultivated landscape and architectural landscape, in which it is reasonable to insert a hospital as a sublime architectural work; subsequently, it was necessary to identify design strategies from different approaches to bodily sensations mentioned by Zumthor and Pallasmaa, which contribute to placing the landscape as the center of the architectural work; and finally apply these strategies in the identified place. In conclusion, it was possible to establish that application of composition strategies of Zumthor and Pallasmaa, would contribute to creating a hospital as a sublime work capable of exalting the landscape and sensitivity.
