The economic reality of the country and the technological advances in the world have presented challenges in different aspects both in daily life and in aspects as specific as the tribute with the arrival of cryptocurrencies, where despite the efforts of the Government, the gaps between the tax and accounting world is increasingly evident The DIAN has presented some concepts that give somewhat superficial guidelines, such as the difference between the fiscal cost of acquisition and the cost of sale or at what moment the generating base of the rental rate is given. Although it is true that there are countries that have decreed cryptocurrencies as the official payment currency, endorsed by their Central Bank, in Colombia it is still not a centralized currency and supervised by the Bank of the Republic and therefore for some legal purposes, it is not means to extinguish obligations. The objective of the work carried out under the qualitative method where it is not intended to quantify or calculate values, but to give an overview of the fiscal and tax reality for digital assets in Colombia, taking as an example the cryptocurrencies that allow having a guide on how to advance in the income statement seeking to mitigate risks and sanctions. It is concluded that the DIAN, despite issuing some regulations, without the support of the Government and the Bank of the Republic, does not manage to have a trace of the entry and exit of money in this type of digital investment, in the same way the way of declaring these crypto Assets in the forms are still missing and are mixed with other assets.en
