Estrategias Urbano-Arquitectónicas en la Revitalización Urbana y Patrimonial del Teatro Roberto Mac Douall en Zipaquirá

Abstract

Las urbanizaciones en Colombia y el funcionamiento de las principales ciudades y municipios aledaños a estas, toman como partida la época colonial, debido a la llegada de civilizaciones españolas que empezaron a instaurar técnicas y estilos arquitectónicos europeos de la época en el país. A lo largo de los años, varios municipios y ciertas partes de las grandes ciudades, no han ido evolucionando en aspectos de construcción y estilo, provocando que lo colonial se convierta en una identidad permanente del lugar; esta condición le da una importancia histórica al municipio, pero a su vez la falta de implementar nuevas técnicas de construcción y la falta de mantenimiento de algunos edificios, provoca que la ciudad tenga una desconexión frente a los requerimientos de las sociedades actuales, obligando a estas a vivir en un atraso urbanístico. Es por ello que se busca mediante este documento explicar las dinámicas y beneficios que ofrece la renovación urbana para la transformación de las ciudades y cómo estás influyen en las sociedades que lo habitan.

En primera instancia se toman como referencia cuatro perspectivas (Patrimonio arquitectónico urbano, el derecho a la ciudad, la vivienda en las centralidades urbanas y la reactivación de espacios en desuso), las cuales permitirán conocer las nuevas modalidades de la construcción de la ciudad en base a las condiciones sociales, históricas y territoriales; con el fin de aplicarlas en la renovación urbana y patrimonial del teatro Roberto Mac Douall, en el municipio de Zipaquirá; consiguiendo así mejoras en infraestructura vial, en espacio público efectivo por habitante y la recuperación del espacio construido, consiguiendo así que las dinámicas del municipio se adapten a las necesidades que tiene la comunidad.

The urbanizations in Colombia and the operation of the main cities and municipalities surrounding them, take the colonial era as their starting point, due to the arrival of Spanish civilizations that began to establish European architectural techniques and styles of the time in the country. Throughout the years, several municipalities and certain parts of the big cities have not evolved in aspects of construction and style, causing the colonial style to become a permanent identity of the place; This condition gives a historical importance to the municipality, but in turn the lack of implementing new construction techniques and the lack of maintenance of some buildings, causes the city to have a disconnection from the requirements of current societies, forcing these to live in an urban backwardness. That is why this document seeks to explain the dynamics and benefits offered by urban renewal for the transformation of cities and how they influence the societies that inhabit it. In the first instance, four perspectives are taken as a reference (urban architectural heritage, the right to the city, housing in urban centralities and the reactivation of disused spaces), which will allow us to know the new modalities of the construction of the city based on to social, historical and territorial conditions; in order to apply them in the urban and patrimonial renovation of the Roberto Mac Douall theater, in the municipality of Zipaquirá; thus achieving improvements in road infrastructure, effective public space per inhabitant and the recovery of built space, thus ensuring that the dynamics of the municipality adapt to the needs of the community.
