Modernización Infraestructura de la Facultad de Ingeniería de la Escuela de Ingeniería Hamilton

Abstract

El edificio donde operaba la facultad de ingeniería de la Escuela de Ingeniería Hamilton fue construido y ha sido usado para esta actividad desde hace más de 40 años. En el año 2.018 se realizó un estudio técnico a la infraestructura, el cuál evidenció problemas de deterioro, obsolescencia y el incumplimiento de estándares de calidad, estabilidad estructural y distribución de espacios físicos. Luego de analizar las posibles soluciones, se optó por construir una nueva edificación, que cuenta con un área de 5.250 mt2, con la cual se eliminaron los problemas estructurales, y se logró ampliar la oferta académica beneficiando a una parte importante de la comunidad estudiantil de la región y contribuyendo al crecimiento organizacional y económico de la universidad.

The building where the engineering faculty of the Hamilton School of Engineering its working now was constructed and has been used for this activity for more than 40 years. In 2.018, a technical study was carried out on the infrastructure, which showed problems of deterioration, obsolescence and non-compliance with quality standards, structural stability and distribution of physical spaces. After analyzing the possible solutions, it was decided to build a new building, which has an area of 5.250 m2, with which structural problems were eliminated, and it was possible to expand the academic offer benefiting an important part of the student community of the region and contributing to the organizational and economic growth of the university.
