Villavicencio: una historia desconocida. el equipamiento cultural como generador de identidad en entornos culturalmente desvanecidos

Abstract

Las ciudades hoy en día se ven afectadas por la acelerada pérdida de sentido de pertenencia e identidad en sus ciudadanos, donde la banalización de la cultura muestra realidades light y complacientes para la sociedad. En el caso de Villavicencio, se evidencia el desvanecimiento de la identidad con respecto a su ciudad. En base a esto, se desarrolla la propuesta de un equipamiento cultural a partir del reconocimiento del territorio, la cultura y la historia del lugar, buscando una inserción armónica con el entorno y fortaleciendo el sentido de pertenencia de los villavicenses. Es necesaria entonces la recolección de información que indague desde diferentes puntos como fuentes secundarias, aplicación de encuestas y visitas de campo, las consideraciones a tener en cuenta en el planteamiento de un equipamiento cultural, en dichos entornos. Como resultado, el proyecto debe considerar el planteamiento de espacios que lleven al individuo a encontrarse a él mismo dentro de los elementos propios del lugar, naturales y construidos y que lo involucren con el territorio desde la singularidad del paisaje y naturaleza, la sensibilidad por medio de la historia y la simbolización formal de los elementos identitarios del lugar y que, aun siendo la recuperación del sentido de pertenencia un proceso diferente para cada individuo, sea esa diversidad de interpretaciones las que fortalezcan la identidad de las comunidades particulares de la actualidad.

Cities today are affected by the accelerated loss of sense of belonging and identity in their citizens, where the banalization of culture shows light and complacent realities for society. In the case of Villavicencio, the identity of the Villavicenses with respect to their city is evident. Based on this, the proposal of a cultural equipment is developed from the recognition of the territory, culture and history of the place, seeking a harmonious insertion with the environment, strengthening the sense of belonging of the villavicenses. It is then necessary to gather information that investigates from different points of view, such as secondary sources, application of surveys and field visits, the considerations to be taken into account in the approach of a cultural equipment, in such environments. As a result, the project must consider the approach of spaces that lead the individual to find himself within the elements of the place, natural and constructed, and that involve him with the territory from the singularity of the landscape and nature, the sensitivity through history and the formal symbolisation of the identity elements of the place and that, although the recovery of the sense of belonging is a different process for each individual, is that diversity of interpretations that create and strengthen today’s particular communities
