La arquitectura como lugar poético: Centro de sanación para el cáncer, complejo hospitalario San Juan de Dios.

Abstract

El problema en la arquitectura hospitalaria parte de la predominancia de aspectos funcionales y técnicos sobre los aspectos humanísticos, siendo el enfoque humano importante para apoyar la experiencia en un espacio arquitectónico para la sanación, por lo tanto, se propone armonizar los aspectos funcionales (técnicos) y humanos en un espacio sanatorio para el cáncer a partir de unas estrategias arquitectónicas que favorezcan el enfoque fenomenológico y su articulación con el paisaje; identificando un conjunto de estrategias, por medio de un caso de estudio, que permitan plantear una arquitectura hospitalaria humanizada para beneficiar la dimensión poética del lugar y favorecer la relación con el entorno construido, reconociendo tipológicamente lo existente con el fin de rescatar la memoria histórica y vincularla con la experiencia y sensación del paciente en un espacio para la sanación.

The problem in healthcare architecture starts from the predominance of functional and technical over humanistic aspects, being the human approach important to support the experience in an architectural space for healing, therefore, it is proposed to harmonize the functional (technical) and human aspects in a sanatorium space for cancer, based on architectural strategies that favor the phenomenological approach and its articulation with the landscape; identifying through a case study, a set of strategies to carry out to propose a humanized hospital architecture to benefit the poetic dimension of the place and favor the relationship with the built environment, typologically recognizing what exists in order to rescue the historical memory and link it with the experience and sensation of the patient in a space for healing.
