Abstract

Environmental planning instruments in Colombia have been developed to the extent that the scope of each has been defined, a person responsible for its procedure, application, monitoring and development of the same has been defined in order to comply with the principles established within our National Constitution, in which enjoying the right to a healthy environment is everyone's responsibility, and it is our duty to guarantee a healthy environment for future generations, in which work is jointly between the community and the State. Each instrument seeks to protect our natural resources, in some cases allows their use, establishes requirements, rates, penalties, and necessary studies to be able to analyze and define ranges, permissible limits for each of the components that surround the ecosystems that we seek to protect. Each instrument has been sold developing according to the policies that the State, after joint work with various specialized entities in the issues, show the need to regulate and align the self-sustainability of the environment, biodiversity and the protection of the environment with the objectives of sustainable development.
